You haven't lived until you've tried this!

Got a strap, belt, or dressing gown cord? You got a hammock! This. Is. The. Best. It’s an awkward one to settle into. But trust me, when you release, you’ll feel all that tension in your neck and head just m e l t away. It’s also a great hamstring and hip flexor stretch, and you can bend your free leg to make it a little less intense (see second photo).



Important: make sure the strap or strap-like thing is secure! Give it a yank, test it out. Lay on your back, bring one knee to your chest and place the strap around the ball of your foot. Then lift your head and place the other end of the strap around the base of your skull (note - not your neck), and strap can come above your ears. Then lean back and start to extend your leg, allowing your head to be heavy and fully supported by your strap and leg.


And stay.

For 5, 6, 7 minutes or longer.

Enter a different realm.

Return to consciousness.

Repeat on the other side.
